Civil War Care-worn Magnificent Mansion
Touring the mansions and plantations in Nashville gives one great respect for Southern architecture and the historical society that preserves these colonial treasures. Some of which are currently serving as amazing venues for entertaining, as did the Belle Meade Mansion for a recent wedding celebration.

Heather Baker Interior Design along with great friends, Glynn Nordstrom & committee member Lisa Davenport, supports the Children 's Museum in fundraising efforts. Check out the great costumes for a 60's inspired "HELP!" event; one of many creative benefits supporting children and the arts.

Visiting Eastern Washington's abundant land reminds me of the organic colors & forms in natures design. Gleaning from natures design cue includes the many fields; asparagus & corn fields to grape vineyards. Apple orchards have also been more than a 30 year inspiration for me in color & form as my family has been apart of the process;  "land-to-Treetop" production for this culinary giant; serving as producer, board member & as president for past many years.

Swiftwater offers a warm felt welcome from entrance. The traditional, heavy half-timbers combined with the translucently of the floor-to-ceiling, in door/out door glass windows make guests feel as though they are residing with nature. A fantastic way to dine, shop, & dwell for a afternoon or overnight escape from the city. As a "Diamond club" & Cellar locker member, one is able to enjoy the extra event spaces to entertain private & intimate or large & festive.

Heather Baker and dear friends at Mercer Estates dined in rustic refinement, in a private room at Mercer Estates, together benefiting Olive Crest.

This room was warm in nature, with industrial elements, ready to host your next private event.

When last visiting Eastern Washington's wine country with our great friends, the Hogues, we revisited stories and vineyards of the 30-year history of farming and wine making among our families. Enjoying this landscape for over 30 years has always been inspirational in color pallet when bringing the out doors in.
Check out the beautiful label reflecting the Olsen landscape: A current top-rated favorite named after my great aunt Edith Mae Olsen Estates Syrah. Cheers!

When visiting great friends; The Hasselbeck family in Tennessee, I had the pleasure of discovering the little town of Franklin. Full of home decor boutiques to fill corners of any traditional home.

The Ihalani hotel is a prime example of a tropical get-away with the private, sandy-coves and an open-aired hotel floor plan. This welcoming resort plays host to the NFL Pro-bowl which the island communitee looks forward to every year.

New York is filled with design inspiration everywhere, from the historical to the contemporary. But how about the historically-contemporary, such as the United Nations building. Or the contemporary-historical such as the set-design of a New York studio. Traveling to this amazing city, it was wonderful to enjoy the juxposion of a design main stay & the organic change of a set-design when visiting dear friend Elizabeth Hasselbeck in this great city of design inspiration.

Loomis trail golf & country club is a classic example of traditional club design. The club house has rich interiors waiting to host a afternoon luncheon, meeting & golf game to a grand wedding in the ballroom with space to lodge your guests. As a member of this warm club and community, I look forward to the opportunity to volunteer my time to the Jr. golf program annually.
