Backstage costume and make-up magic. Encore!
Check out this before and after shot of the work of the Pacific Northwest Ballet's prestigious Nutracker costume design department. From stage door entry to backstage costume and make up: a magical transformation and a seasonal Seattle must-see. Bravo!

I love the beautiful simplicity and artful juxtaposition of these ballet slippers that Northwest artist Dale Chihuly painted here. He graciously gifted his talent to another Northwest art form, the Pacific Northwest Ballet - together making the Northwest artfully beautiful!

Here with Cheryl & a lovely evening
It was a pleasure spending an entertaining evening with long-time, still-extraordinary beauty Cheryl Tiegs, dining and dialoging about her past and current projects. These include the new HBO documentary About Face: Supermodels Then and Now, starring Cheryl's and other supermodel phenomenons' outer and inner beauty discoveries.

Go 'Hawks!

Heather Baker Interior Design was a First Look PNB corporate sponsor for "Cinderella Night" with artistic director Peter Boal. The backstage set design for this magical evening boasted a fairytale-like setting for the 40th Anniversary Gala "The Dream Continues." The festive evening of dining, music, and dance included an elegant cocktail party, Royal black tie dinner, a one night only exclusive production by Kent Stowell, all culminating in an on-stage dance party in Seattle's contemporary McCaw Hall. An evening worth losing a glass slipper for!

Glass artists at work
Here's to a wonderful night supporting friends Leslie and Dale Chihuly as a benefactor for the Pilchuck Glass school. The premier event attended by over 700 artists and high profile northwest and nationwide leaders was a showcase for over 350 glass artworks created by artists from around the world. Picking up a much coveted blow-glass centerpiece at the gala was a must as it will serve many functions in design; from enjoying the organic form alone, using it as a flower vase, holding edible treats, or to chill a beautiful bottle of champagne. Cheers!

Seattle Art Museum supporters presented a luncheon and fashion show to raise funds for SAM. It was a fun way to support the arts with great friends Tanya Vail, Vintage House of Fashion coordinator, and Kate Killpack, SAM liaison.

Whim W'Him friend and founder Olivier Wever, with his super-charged performing arts company, celebrated his fourth annual "Out on a Whim". The much anticipated and "a bit naughty" event was a celebration feast for the senses. The new and rough venue hosted Whimmers from cocktail hour to catered dinner to dance floor. All spaces were welcoming and warm as was our host for the evening's fun-filled event.

It's Nature vs. Nurture design in natural and historic Denver, Colorado with both beautiful nature-made national park sculptures and man-made architecture, and both were fully enjoyed during a wedding weekend at the Governor's Mansion. Many design elements, including balance and symmetry, were appreciated indoors and out.
